Program of the Department of Mechatronics is designed to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills required to work in design and fabrication of automation systems. As semiconductor and display industries have been rapidly expanding, there have been needs for engineers with sufficient knowledge and skills in automation systems technologies. Students of this department undertake a comprehensive study of automation systems design, control and instrumentation, developing relevant and practical skills in modern and well-equipped labs. Graduates of this department will take roles as professional engineers in the fields of production, design, and management of automation systems in high technology industries such as semiconductor and display equipment manufacturers. All students in this department receive training in basic electronics, control and instrumentation, mechanism, engineering design, CAD. Following the completion of a common first year, students select one of two courses of specialization.

:: Automation Mechanism Course
:: Automation Control Course

::: Courses after draduation :::

Graduates of this department have diverse employment opportunities in industries such as LCD and PDP manufacturers, semiconductor and electronics manufacturers, and automation systems manufacturers. Positions of employment include the following:

development and maintenance of automation systems in semiconductor, LCD, PDP industries. ?
development and maintenance of automation systems for factories, buildings, and houses. ?
development and maintenance of robots. ?
development and maintenance of unmanned machines and utilities. ?
development of mobile phones and PDA. ?
development of intelligent toys.

Graduates with sufficiently high standing will be eligible to transfer to the third year in universities to obtain Bachelor’s degrees.

::: Technical Lienses :::

After the completion of the first year in this department, students are applicable for test to acquiring technical licenses in the fields: mechatronics; production automation; manufacturing machines; electric devices; mechanical design; machinery maintenance; industry safety; CAM; etc.
