The twenty-first century will speed up the trends of social welfare along with the acceleration of the information industries. These changes will affect family structure and introduce difficulties for parents in raising infants, children and juveniles at home and in the areas of social participation. Innovative solutions will be needed for the care of adolescents, the physically and mentally handicapped and the elderly. As the general population continues to age, these fields will emerge as our most pressing problems and will require the essential incarnations of our welfare system. Therefore, our society will need to produce more qualified teachers and social welfare experts in the future.

The Department of Children's Welfare was established in 2005, aiming to raise the level of talent and learning devoted to these issues. Hoping to activate a deep sense of love and service in our students, we concentrate on training teachers and social welfare educators who possess the knowledge and ability to meet the changing circumstances of our society with creativity and enthusiasm. In addition, our department focuses on the level of professional development in our students so that they will acquire the abilities and powers required in the business world, through the learning process in the classroom and through various off-campus programs related to the fields of child welfare.

Every student who successfully finishes the curriculum of our department will earn the certification of the two-year rated teacher and the two-year rated social welfare teacher. The numerous job fields related to our department include (either through incorporated or civilian organizations) private children's house teacher, professional agency of social welfare or government office, various positions for educators and accommodation supervisors, government officer of the departments related to children's and adolescent care, and councilor of the professional institute in the field of children and social welfare. Additionally, upon successful completion of the course load, it will be somewhat easier for a graduate of our department to transfer and re-enter a children's welfare or social welfare department at a four year university.

::: Jobs Vision :::

The needs for improving welfare incarnations due to the establishment of the nuclear-family are increasing these days. Therefore our future society will need many more teachers devoted to child raising and social welfare than can be found today. Specifically, the continual increase of juvenile facilities or adolescent welfare accommodations and senior citizens' care will require many more additional professional talents.

The steady increase in the elderly population and the problems related to the raising and educating of children and adolescents will accompany all new social systems and institutes emerging with developing industries and professional man-power. Our future-oriented Children's Welfare Department is characterized by our focus on job placement and employment more than other programs. In particular, women after marriage merit the opportunity to become involved in stable professional business ventures.
